Practicing Spelling
Many students want to become better spellers. Encourage students to memorize difficult words and/or words they frequently misspell. Repetition is important. Students can choose 2-5 words a week to practice spelling. They can create their own list in a notebook or they can create flash cards. Incorporate spelling practice in to your lesson plan until students feel comfortable doing them on their own.
